Come join us for the annual Friends of Bandy Field Work Day! Help us clean up this wonderful park in the West End of Richmond. We’ll be cutting down vines that harm the trees, cleaning up debris, and other odd jobs.
The Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay is helping the Friends of Bandy Field, Inc., recruit volunteers for this event. Friends of Bandy Field is a community organization made up of supporters of the preservation and beautification of Bandy field, an 18-acre city park in West End Richmond located along Three Chopt Road, as a open, green space natural area for the enjoyment and passive recreation of the communities that surround the Park and for citizens throughout the City of Richmond. The Friends of Bandy Field works to keep any trash that may accumulate on the park from time to time picked up and to keep invasive plants from infesting and consuming the Parks foliaged perimeter and the its 2-acre central woods.
