Today, 40 years ago in 1972, the Clean Water Act was passed. The Alliance works hard in all our programs and projects to promote clean water throughout the Chesapeake Bay. Programs like  Project Clean Stream,  Forestry for the Bay, READY and  RiverSmart  work directly with citizens to help clean our waterways through trash cleanups, forest management, and stormwater best practices.[separator sep_color=”#dd9933″ ]This Thursday, October 18th the environmental community, along with our members and other supporters of clean water, will be tweeting all-day to mark the 40thanniversary of the Clean Water Act.
