Home / Blogs / Project Clean Stream Returns for Another Season!
March 29, 2025
Every year, thousands of volunteers come together to pick up trash from local streams, creeks, rivers, parks, and neighborhoods as part of the Alliance’s Project Clean Stream. The Alliance works with site captains to coordinate local cleanup events and provide supplies such as trash bags and gloves. Know of a trashy area? You can report it here.
To kick off the spring season, multiple cleanups are scheduled across the watershed on Friday, April 4. Additional community cleanups will be hosted throughout the watershed during the spring season. Explore our April 4 kickoff events below and find a cleanup near you!
Washington, DC: Oxon Cove Park 10 AM – 12 PM Annapolis, MD: Quiet Waters Park, 2 PM – 4 PM Richmond, VA: Fulton Green Street, 4 PM – 5:30 PM York, PA: Bantz Park along Codorus Creek, 4 PM – 6 PM
Register your event on the Chesapeake Network and indicate how many trash bags and gloves you need. Share your event with family, friends, or colleagues, or leverage the Chesapeake Network and let volunteers find and sign up for your event. The Alliance will be in touch with you to coordinate when you can pick up your cleanup supplies.
