Replacing the Dirty Dozen Webinar

June 9th, 2021 7:00 pm - 8:15 pm

Some of our most popular garden plants have gone rogue and now threaten our natural areas and biodiversity. We’ll look at the “Dirty Dozen” – the most egregious of these invaders – and talk about some great replacements for the garden.

This webinar will be presented by Connie Schmotzer. Connie recently retired as York County’s Extension Educator in Consumer Horticulture and is now coordinating the Penn State Master Gardener statewide pollinator programs. Prior to joining Penn State Extension, she taught school in Williamsburg, VA and worked as a naturalist with the National Park Service in Wyoming. She has a B.A. from Dickinson College and has done graduate work in soils at Montana State.

This webinar is presented in partnership with the following organizations: Community Conservation Committee, Penn State Extension York County, and Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay.
