Home / Events / Lancaster Water Week: Streamside Care Workday
Help take care of our streamsides across Lancaster County! We will be planting trees, weeding, and tending to native plantings.
Lancaster has 1,400 miles of streams and rivers. Taking care of our streamside forests (riparian buffers) protects the quality of the water we drink, provides food and habitat for wildlife, preserves nearby wetlands, and replenishes our groundwater. Join the Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay and other community partners to protect our clean water as we tend these streamside forests!
