Board Member
John is a management consultant specializing in collaborative efforts in Lancaster County on Chesapeake Bay environmental issues since 2019. Prior to that he served as President and CEO of Turkey Hill Dairy, and on the Manufacturing Leadership team of its parent company, Kroger Co., in Cincinnati. He actively intertwined his business with nonprofit work on sustainability, land preservation and conservation, and community quality of life.
John is a graduate of Millersville University, with a B.S. in Business Administration, and Penn State University, with a Master of Management. He was a board member of International Ice Cream Association since 1995 and served the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania on the Governor’s Food Safety Council from 2008 – 2011. His service to his local community includes Lancaster County Economic Development Company (past Chair), Lancaster Farmland Trust (past Chair), and Lancaster Workforce Investment Board. Taken together, he has over 70 years of nonprofit board service.
He is currently Senior Advisor to the Lancaster Clean Water Partners after having been a member of the small founding group of the organization with a vision to help Lancaster County achieve clean and clear water at an accelerated pace. He also works with private foundations with a vision for being a catalyst for restoring local waterways and opening them to the public to enhance quality of life.
John and his wife Catherine reside in Landisville, PA. His hobbies include backpacking, bird watching, running and photography.
