Senior Vice President Franchise Finance, M&T Bank

Kent is a lifelong Marylander with a deep connection to the state’s natural beauty and waterways. A 2009 graduate of Washington College, Kent earned a degree in Business Management. He is a Senior Vice President and Team Leader for M&T Bank’s Franchise Finance Division. In this capacity, Kent provides financing and banking solutions to franchisees across the United States, working to foster the growth and success of businesses nationwide.

Born and raised in Frederick, MD, Kent developed a strong passion for the outdoors at an early age. His love for the Chesapeake Bay and its surrounding watershed was further enhanced during his time at Washington College, where he gained a deeper understanding of the environmental challenges facing the region. After marrying his wife, Jenn, the couple chose Annapolis as the perfect place to raise their family so their daughters can also enjoy the Chesapeake Bay.

Kent’s involvement with the Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay began through hands-on volunteer experiences, such as participating in local stream cleanups. This highlighted the impact of a grassroots organization committed to real, measurable progress in the protection and restoration of the Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries. This drove his desire to get involved with the Alliance, where he hopes to use his expertise, leadership, and passion for the Bay to support its mission of safeguarding this vital ecosystem for future generations.
