Jenny McGarvey serves a dual role at the Alliance directing our Capacity Building Initiative, and managing aspects of our Forests program. In both roles, Jenny develops and implements programs that educate residents, governments, businesses, and natural resource professionals on watershed restoration topics. Her projects include overseeing the Chesapeake Watershed Forum, ForumPlus, and Chesapeake Network; creating comprehensive resources, trainings, and tools to build capacity among conservation professionals in order to accelerate on-the-ground restoration; building innovative programs to assist private landowners in forest restoration and reforestation; and providing outreach and education to private family forest landowners on managing healthy and sustainable woodlands.
Jenny originally is from California. She has a BS in Environmental Sciences from the University of California, Berkeley and a MS in Environmental Sciences from the University of Virginia.
