Retired Senior Vice President/Corporate Controller, Host Hotels & Resorts, Inc.

Brian is the Senior Vice President and Corporate Controller of Host Hotels & Resorts, Inc. with over 26 years of experience in accounting, finance and real estate. Over his more than 20-year-career at Host, he has held numerous positions since February 1996 including Vice President, Financial Reporting and Corporate Real Estate and Vice President, and Assistant Corporate Controller. Prior to Host, Brian worked at the Securities & Exchange Commission and Deloitte & Touche. A graduate of Virginia Tech’s Center for Leadership in Global Sustainability he recently completed a Master’s degree in natural resources. Brian is a long-time resident of Arlington, Virginia where he lives with his wife Marie.

Host has received numerous awards for its leadership in corporate responsibility and its environmental, social and governance strategy. In 2017, Host earned recognition from the Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark organization for outstanding management and implementation of key sustainability issues. It is also on CDP’s Climate A list for its efforts and actions to reduce emissions and mitigate and combat climate change.
