Join Brightside Baptist Church as we celebrate our new rain garden. We are in the process of transforming our campus to be good stewards of creation.
Activities for the whole family, including look-and-learn STEM exhibits, a puppet show, as well as a hands-on educational booth on microplastics. Stop by to meet local native plant vendors and perhaps pick up some for your own garden!
The Alliance helped locate, design, and secure funding for the rain garden installation at Bright Side Baptist Church along with partners at Interfaith Partners for the Chesapeake and the City of Lancaster. We’ll be on hand during the event to answer questions about rain gardens and steps that residents can take to reduce stormwater runoff on their own properties. City of Lancaster residents are encouraged to stop by to receive information about the City’s residential stormwater grant program.
This event is rain or shine – will move indoors in event of inclement weather. Light refreshments will be provided. Restrooms are available onsite. Please register here before attending.
