Home / Events / Native Plant Potting Days at West York Nursery
Nursery help wanted! We have a goal of starting over 12,000 seedlings for use in area plantings this fall.
We’re starting up the West York Nursery in mid-March by cleaning, filling, and seeding pots. The nursery will be the distribution center for the pots and soil to other growers so there will be lots of activity and opportunities.
Open house style, come as you are able between 9:30am and 4:00pm.
Please dress for the weather, events are rain or shine! Volunteers need to wear long pants, clothes that can get dirty, and close-toed shoes (boots recommended). We also recommend a hat, sunscreen, and gloves if you have them. Please bring water for yourself.
Volunteers should be prepared to walk over uneven ground, bend, stoop, kneel, dig, and do some minor lifting. Bathrooms are not available. Please follow all parking directions when arriving.
This event location is in York, PA. Upon successful registration for this event, the exact event address will be sent to the registrant. Reminder emails are also sent approximately 3 days prior to the event and the day of the event via email.
