Home / Events / Tree Planting in Leola
One of the best actions you can do to improve the health of the Bay is to plant trees. Be a part of the Alliance’s reforestation efforts by volunteering with us this Spring! Our team is seeking volunteers to help us plant 500 trees on April 10th at a site near Leola, PA.
Please dress for the weather, we are rain or shine! Volunteers need to wear long pants, clothes that can get dirty, and close-toed shoes (boots recommended). We also recommend a hat, sunscreen, and gloves if you have them. Please bring water for yourself.
Volunteers should be prepared to walk over uneven ground, bend, stoop, kneel, dig, and do some minor lifting. This is a farm site with a higher need to walk longer distances. A planting demonstration will be given at the beginning of the event. Children of all ages are welcome to attend with their guardians. Bathrooms are not available. Please follow all parking directions when arriving.
This planting location is in Leola, PA. Upon successful registration for this event, the exact event address will be sent to the registrant. Reminder emails are also sent approximately 3 days prior to the event and the day of the event via email.
If you have any questions, please email Cathleen Anthony at canthony@allianceforthebay.org.
