Brittany joined the team in 2019, currently serving as an Agricultural Project Manager focusing on farmer outreach and on-the-ground implementation. She collaborates with critical supply chain corporations, nonprofits, and government leaders to continually expand the Alliance’s conservation impact in new ways.
As 11th generation Lancaster County resident, Brittany has a deep cultural connection to agriculture. She graduated from Messiah College in 2010 with a bachelor’s degree in Humanities and History. Since then, she has led backcountry programs throughout West Virginia, served as a conservation technician, and supported local government initiatives in south-central Pennsylvania.
Brittany has always cherished the outdoors, recognizing the deep interdependence humans have with nature. She is a firm believer that people will only care for what they know. She aims to build long-term connections across boundary lines to support the people and places that produce our food.
In her free time, Brittany serves on the board of The Common Wheel, a community bike shop in Lancaster, PA. As a member of the Backyard Fruit Growers Association and Lancaster Beekeeping, enjoys experimenting with home food production. When not tinkering around with DIY projects, Brittany will most likely be practicing yoga, kayaking, camping, foraging wild edibles, or exploring new places.
